come to think of it… it would be hell challenging a grass-type gym if you had allergies right??? like imagine you’re up against erika at the celadon gym and her jumpluff uses cotton spore and you just. cannot stop sneezing
(Quick clarification: Mrs. Spade being an ex-delinquent is a headcanon! I just thought it’d be an interesting concept, so I incorporated it into her character.)
Curiouser and Curiouser…
When Lilia mentions to his son that he’s planning on cooking for the “lady friend” he’s seeing, Silver steps in to stop his dad from poisoning the poor woman. “You should try a restaurant, get to know one another better before volunteering to share your… talent with her,” Silver advises as lightly as he can. Thankfully for him (and for his dad’s date), Lilia relents.
He decides to take his date to Tony’s, a laid-back family friendly pizza and pasta joint in town. Lilia brings along his own candle—blessed with Malleus’s almost apocalyptic green fire (imagine that, a horned fairy godmother in pitch black robes)—to decorate their table, as well as a crystal vase with a single red rose (provided from the Heartslabyul Gardens by Cater, wanting to support his fellow Light Music Club member. “Knock’m dead with your charm, Lils!”)
Kalim had wanted to contribute something to Lilia’s date night, but unfortunately a huge parade of animals, while impressive, wouldn’t squeeze into Tony’s. Instead, Kalim went shopping with Lilia to help him get all dripped out for the occasion! “I’ll pay for whatever you want, so have at it!” (It was Jamil who had to limit Lilia’s spending and stopped him from buying medieval battle armor. “Why would you wear this to a date?! Are you trying to kill them? Just wear something practical and casual!”)
Lilia thought he’d be the first at the venue, but he’s actually been beaten to the punch. She’s easy to spot because of her hair–a bob, striped blonde and dark blue–and her spade earring. Lips painted, eyes done up. Her leather jacket is open to reveal a cute white rabbit logo (most likely a freebie T-shirt from work), paired with jeans (ripped at the knees) and ankle boots.
“You’re early, Dilah,” he remarks, slipping into the seat across from her and placing the candle and vase on the table. She smiles and says, “I’d never be late for a very important date.”
Another Malleyuu fic scene I can very vividly see in my head but might never get around to writing:
Setting: Malleyuu who have never met in person because they’re pen pals. Malleus had written lots of books on architecture, sculpting, just lots of artsy old-timey stuff really, and Yuu had written a letter to him to ask him more about his writing, not knowing that he’s actually Briar Prince Malleus Draconia (he used a pen name, but the SMALLEST bit of research would reveal his true identity. Yuu did not do this research)
Anyways, Yuu works for the royal family of their kingdom as a beast tamer and they’re friends with the crown prince (who has a bit of a crush on them that they’re completely oblivious to). This exists purely bcs I don’t really like the idea of Yuu being born royalty but I need them to be Involved with royalty for Plot Reasons (and also heehee silly little love triangle :3)
The Main Conflict going on is that uh oh the neighbouring kingdom has declared war and they’re much stronger we’re so fucked!! The prince is doing his best in leading. Yuu is on the battlefield too to help tend to the monstrous mounts that are being ridden into battle (and also be part of the fight themself).
You must be wondering: Where is the Malleyuu?? Not to worry, because just when the enemy begins to be overwhelming, dark clouds cover the sky and a rumble of thunder—no, a roar, shakes the battlefield. Loud wingbeats grow louder and louder and a massive black dragon bursts out of the clouds, flanked by hundreds of fae both on land and air. EVERYBODY is confused as hell and absolutely TERRIFIED because if YOU didn’t invite the dark fae and WE didn’t invite the dark fae… then WHO did???
It quickly becomes obvious though whose side this army is on when the dragon dives down and releases a torrent of green fire on the attacking army. The fae soldiers follow and the enemy army is decimated in SECONDS and forced to retreat.
Yuu and their prince friend are watching all this like “that’s great but um haha what the fuck??” because they do not remember ever asking the Land of Briar for help. After the battle, the dragon who had led the fae army touches down where Yuu and the prince are, and their questions are finally answered when the dragon sheds his scales to take his fae form, smiles at Yuu, and says,
I actually don’t really notice a lot of changes in Vil’s poses; it looks like he’s mostly just shifting his hands around probably trying to find what looks most appealing for a “money” shot 😂
Kalim though, I can totally buy him fidgeting around and not being able to sit still for very long. He has the most different and dynamic poses in the background for each of the manga promotional artworks.
